Our Last Post

Filkins Funyard has been the theme park of the century. I think doing social media for this business was very difficult for me. Doing Facebook posts was not very hard. I think that twitter was hard at the same time. I didn't mind doing tweets, I just felt as though I had to do a lot of them and I never really took time out of my day to put a lot of thought into them.

Going this blog that I am writing about I found it easy for me to write about my business. But once the weeks started to go by I found it harder and harder to write about the theme of the week for my business. I think one of the reasons it was hard for me to write blogs was because I never really had a huge passion for theme parks I mean honestly I love food at theme parks, but I am not a huge ride fan.

I think working with the other websites like soundcloud and pinterest were difficult. For soundcloud I still need to do my podcast. I tried doing the assignment but I could not figure out how to put the music on it. Also with Pinterest I could not log in to my account it would always bring me to the Pinterest I have for my own self and not my business.

This course has taught me a lot about how businesses use social media nowadays and how they incorporate. I think though for the fees that we had to pay to take this course I did not get out of the course as much as I would have liked to. I need face-to-face classes this is just who I am. I think that having the web conferencing for this course was one of the biggest mistakes you could make! Its something that is helpful but I didn't like how it was done.

                                                                      OUR NEW APP!

 This week at Filkins Funyard we are going into the modern age. We are introducing our brand new app called Filkins Points. It is a rewards system. The app is free to download. Every time you would go on a ride you would want to scan the apps to earn points. It will earn points on the app and once you reach a certain amount you can get a free ride on the Thriller. Also if you get up to 1000 points you can get a free T-shirt from the Filkins Flip out store.

One feature that it has when you scan the app to get on a roller coaster it syncs to our program. When the roller coaster takes a picture you no longer will have to go to the section to try seeing your picture. It will be available to look at on your device. It will cost $.99 though. When you buy the picture all the money will be donated to help fun the Mustachy Dash that we just held and thank you everyone that came!

Have you ever known some one who struggles to get out of bed each and every day?  Have you seen someone lose all their hair to chemo therapy?  If so chances are they are battling cancer.

That is why this month here at Filkins Funyard we want to give notice to everyone who is battling cancer. In the month of November many people know about the no shave November.

At Filkins Funyard we would like to let everyone know about our first Mustashy Dash! it is an obstacle course around the entire Filkins Funyard theme park. The event will be held on November 20th come on by and register to find out more.

                                                       FREAKY AT FILKINS FUNYARD

This weekend at Filkins Funyard we would like everyone to take part in our Freaky at Filkins Funyard event this is an event that we throw every year to raise money for local charities around us. What the contest is, it is to see who can do the most crazy thing while mini golfing whether it is wearing a crazy costume or a crazy dance moves it depends on what you want to bring!
So come on by and show us what you are made of and bring your best moves and best costumes that you can think of!

During this time you will have the chance to experience a thrill like none other which means for you the ability to remember that night forever!

Halloween at Filkins Funyard is going to be like something that you have never seen before! We will be having an limited time haunted maze with a haunted house built into it throughout the theme park! It will be the most terrifying, crazy fun, thrilling, screamtacular thing you have ever done or seen!
